Complete and Honest Review of this product
Wardrobes are more than just a place to store clothes. They play a crucial role in organizing our living spaces. Consequently, I have a desire for a wardrobe; however, due to budget constraints, I am unable to invest in a wooden or steel option. Therefore, I have opted to acquire a fabric wardrobe, which is more affordable. I was supposed to start looking online, for a good quality but cheaper fabric wardrobe, and have explored all the online marketplaces listed below.
- Amazon
- eBay
- B&Q
- IKEA
- Temu
- AliExpress
- OneBuy
- The Range
- Wilko
After reviewing numerous options, I chose a particular design and purchased a fabric canvas wardrobe from Temu due to its lower price. I bought it from Trend Trunk (a Temu seller) for 15.29 pounds + 2 pounds delivery charges.
Receipts are as follows:
After three days, I received my package, and it was time to unbox it. Upon opening the parcel, we discovered that it contained a manual assembly, plastic connectors, steel rods, non-woven sheets, and a canvas cover. I am sharing the unboxing video with you.
The next step was to assemble the wardrobe, which I started after consulting the manual. I successfully put the wardrobe together within an hour. However, a shocking incident occurred when my young child stood on the non-woven sheet, causing it to tear. Initially, I was concerned and decided to return the wardrobe due to its fragility. However, recognizing my need for it, I opted to keep it and stitched the non-woven sheath. After assembling it, another miserable incident occurred when my child placed a heavy object on it, resulting in the complete tearing of the fabric wardrobe. This experience made me realize that non-woven fabric sheets lack durability. Please see the video below:
Benefits and drawbacks of Fabric Wardrobe
Fabric canvas wardrobes have several benefits, but they also have some disadvantages:
Benefits:
Affordability: Fabric canvas wardrobes are generally more affordable than traditional wooden wardrobes. This makes them an excellent option for those looking for a temporary storage solution.
Portability: One of the standout features of fabric canvas wardrobes is their portability. They are lightweight and easy to disassemble, making them ideal for people who move frequently or live in rented accommodations.
Ease of Assembly: These wardrobes are usually easy to assemble and disassemble, often requiring no tools.
Space-Saving: Fabric canvas wardrobes are designed to maximize storage while taking up minimal floor space. They often come with multiple shelves, hanging rods, and pockets, providing enough storage for clothes, shoes, and accessories.
Versatility: Available in various sizes, colors, and designs, fabric canvas wardrobes can fit into different room decors and serve multiple purposes, from bedroom storage to temporary closet solutions.
Drawbacks:
Weight Capacity: Compared to their wooden or metal counterparts, these wardrobes frequently have a lower weight capacity. If you overload them, the fabric may sag, or the structure may bend.
Durability: Although canvas wardrobes are often sturdy, their durability is comparatively lower than traditional wooden or metal wardrobes. The fabric can tear or wear out over time, especially with frequent use.
Stability: A fabric wardrobe can be less stable, especially if improperly assembled. They might wobble or shift, particularly on uneven floors.
Conclusion
Fabric canvas wardrobes are a practical and cost-effective storage solution, especially for those who need a temporary, portable, and easy-to-assemble option. While they may not offer the same durability or aesthetic appeal as traditional wardrobes. Their affordability, versatility, and space-saving design make them a popular choice for many households. Ultimately, I prefer not to purchase a fabric wardrobe if a more durable option is within your budget. However, if you want a temporary wardrobe then a fabric wardrobe is the best option for you but make sure to buy it cheaply as you can not waste lots of money on it. In the end, keep away your naughty children from fabric wardrobes.
